New Chairman Announced

1 month ago By Andy Player

New Chairman elected by the board

On the evening of Wednesday the 30th of August at the clubs board meeting they elected a new chairman to fill the vacancy left by Brian Wilson departure from the board.

Unanimously the board voted for the club secretary Jonathan Scripps to take over the role.

To help protect Jonathan from taking on too much the board felt it right that he should pass his secretarial duties on to another member and elected Andy Player to reprise his role as secretary.

Regarding his appointment Jonathan posted on his Facebook page:
"A dream has come true for me tonight. I was elected tonight as the new Chairman of SWTFC. I am one proud and honored man and I will do everything I can for the club that I have loved since a boy. Thank you to all the support and belief the board have shown in me. I know I have a lot to prove and a lot of hard work, but I can't wait to continue working with the board, players, staff, volunteers and the best fans in the world. Up the Bloods. #lovethistown "
