Goodbye (ish) to Bex

3 months ago By Andy Player

Familiar face from the tea bar moving on

A familiar face will be missing from the tea bar on Saturdays from now on as Rebecca Player (Bex) has got an apprenticeship at a local hair salon and will have to work on a Saturday.

Rebecca joined the tea bar team at the age of 13 originally only coming down to see her dad whilst he helped in the kitchen and around the club. It did not take long for her to become a key member of the tea bar team supporting Ken, Andy and others. No one else in the kitchen had the prices memorised as well as Bex.

You would think that a young lady working in a football club tea bar would be an easy target for banter but she could take as much as you could throw at her and the give it back times 2.

Rebecca is fully intending on coming down to help out at mid week matches and may be able to help at occasional Saturday games if her work hours allow.

Bex was presented with a bunch of flowers, a balloon, a card and a cake (that she ate most of during her last Saturday). We wish her the best of luck with her course and look forward to seeing her whenever she is able to come down. A true member of the Bloods Family
