Reserves - The team

Previous clubs: Dagenham, Chelmsford City, Barking

Biography: Started coaching U9’s for Dunmow Rhodes Youth FC in 2005. Basically, my eldest son Charlie had started to play football and the club didn’t have a team at that age group, so we put a team together and I was “volunteered” by the parents to coach the team as I was the only parent that had played football. So did my FA Level 1 course and went from there. I was fortunate to have a unique group of kids that were all dead keen to improve and highly competitive.
That team went through all the way to U15’s winning either leagues, cups or tournaments every single year.
The pinnacle was the lads representing Essex at U10 at a McDonalds sponsored event at Wembley!!!
In 2013 I was approached by Braintree Town FC to coach U16 to U18 teams playing in the Eastern Junior Alliance. It was doing this that really got me into genuine player development, which is what I now love to do.
Due to work have played golf with major champions such as Ian Woosnam, John Daly & Padraig Harrington.
I played throughout my career as a Left back, but would have loved to have a go at the modern day Left Wing Back!
I am an avid Hammers fan.
Best all time player for me has to be DIEGO MARADONNA. Absolute legend.
I love what i do at the club and love seeing players develop from Mikes U18s through the Reserves and onto Stickos team.
