The first sight of action came around the quarter of an hour mark through Tom PLUCK over on the right hand side as he beat his man, but his cross couldn’t be converted by any of the forwards.
15 minutes later, Mason Naylor dribbled his way past the defender and into the area, only for the opposing goalkeeper to come and collect the ball from his quick feet.
The rest of the first half didn’t bring any of the most eye-catching football, but for the odd attempted longshot or free kick attempt. The goalless score line reflected the game so far and seemed fair.

The first substitutions of the day came at the break as Joe Fanthorpe replaced Josh BATES as goalkeeper along with David Kibblewhite putting in an appearance.
It didn’t take long for the game to open up as the Bloods quickly took the lead 6 minutes into the half. The goalkeeper produced a save, but could only put it into the anticipating feet of Charlie Dicker who tucked it neatly into the bottom left corner from the right of the box.
However, it didn’t take Haverhill long to respond, as they equalised in the 55th minute. A low cross from the right was easily tapped into the net by an awaiting forward.
The away boys came close to taking the lead only moments later. An opportunity in a very similar position to their goal, but this time couldn’t be finished.
Haverhill finally scored a second at 70 minutes. An absolute beauty of a strike from outside the box found the bottom left corner, leaving Fanthorpe frozen to the spot.
But there was yet another twist to the tale as Walden brought it back level only two minutes later. Substitute Sak HASSAN ran through the box on the right hand side and placed the ball into the bottom left.
Walden were lucky to finish with ten men as substitute Joe BROWN was let off with a booking after he took down an attacker as the last man back to stop a goal scoring opportunity.
In the end it finished 2 a piece in a well fought out match.
