Magical Moir Inspires Reserve Goal Feast
By Glen Wilkinson
Midfielder Liam Moir produces yet another first class performance to help the RESERVES drive on to record a 7-1 thrashing of Woodbridge Town
Freezing cold, Driving rain, Howling wind........
NOT perhaps the greatest platform for a classy performance. However, today, once again the Reserves absolutely hammered their opponents who in fact were a little shell shocked at the level of technique they were up against.
Once again, Charlie Dicker proved that wherever you put him on the pitch he will deliver. Today, he delivered 3 goals and is by far this seasons leading goal scorer. He was brilliantly supported by the work rate and clever positional play of Flynn Tarman who also got on the scoresheet.
The midfield trio of Pedro Da Silva, Charlie DAVIES and that man Liam MOIR were unplayable at times and all 3 will be more than happy with their performances today.
The Wing backs were enjoying lots of space down the flanks. Ronnie Ledwith and Coby Game were a constant threat throughout the game.
A game so one sided as this would suggest that there was not much to do for the back line. On the contrary, True Blood, Jake Noble showed exactly why he is a first team player by directing his defensive partners Joe CUNNING and Dan WEEKS to tremendous effect. Nobby is an absolute credit to the club in the way he wants to help other players succeed as well as himself.
Weeksy and Joey responded with superb performances.
The 3 subs, Joe BROWN, Sac Hassan and David Kibblewhite joined the game for the start of the second half and the change was seamless. All 3 subs made a big claim to make the squad next week,
Last but by no means least. Keeper Jason HARVEY although not having much to do, when called upon, dealt with everything as cleanly and competently as you would expect.
It’s only right that every player should get a mention today. Many of these players will be forcing their way into Sticko plans before very long.
