SWTFC will be applying for a lateral move to the Essex Senior League.
In 2013 Saffron Walden Town FC completed the process of transferring the
club to the status of a Community Benefit Society (CBS). This means the
members will now own the club directly, and the structure will help
provide stability for the future of senior football at Catons Lane.
Saffron Walden Town FC is a not-for profit
limited company. It is a member-owned Communitry Benefit Society"
A new limited liability not for profit company – Saffron Walden Town
Football Club Ltd – was established in August 2013, and the club received
the formal approval of the FA, Essex FA and Thurlow Nunn League, allowing
the transfer to be be effected from September 2013.
